These terms apply to everyone who uses bitcoininsights.io (the “site”). The site is operated privately under the BitcoinInsights name (“BitcoinInsights”, “we”, “us”). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. What the site provides
BitcoinInsights publishes news, analysis, guides and data about Bitcoin and related markets. The site also shows live market data and tools, including a price chart, a table of exchange prices, a Fear and Greed Index reading, a BTC converter and a dollar-cost averaging calculator. Access to the site is free and does not require an account.
2. Not financial advice
Everything on the site is published for general information and education only. Nothing on the site is financial, investment, legal or tax advice, and nothing on the site is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold Bitcoin or any other asset. We do not know your financial situation, goals or tolerance for risk.
Bitcoin and other crypto-assets are highly volatile, and you can lose some or all of the money you put in. Past performance, including results shown by the DCA calculator, does not predict future returns. Before making any financial decision, do your own research and, where appropriate, speak to a licensed financial adviser in your country.
3. Market data and tools
Prices, network figures and index readings on the site come from third-party sources, including public exchange data and blockchain explorers. They are refreshed automatically at set intervals and may be delayed, incomplete or occasionally wrong. Prices shown on the site are not offers to trade, and the price you get on an exchange may be different.
Calculator and converter results are estimates based on the data available at the time. Do not rely on them as the only basis for a trade, a tax filing or any other decision. We may change, pause or remove any tool or data feed at any time without notice.
4. Accuracy and corrections
We work to keep our content accurate and up to date, and we correct errors when we find them or when readers report them. We cannot promise that every article, figure or link is complete, current or free of errors at all times. Articles reflect the information available on their publication date, which is shown on each article. To report an error, contact us at contact@bitcoininsights.io.
5. Sponsored content and affiliate links
The site may carry advertising and sponsored content. Sponsored material is clearly labelled and kept separate from our editorial coverage, and sponsors have no control over our news, analysis or conclusions. Some links to exchanges or other services may be affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you sign up or make a purchase through them, at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not decide what we cover or how we cover it.
6. Third-party websites and services
The site links to websites and services that we do not own or control, including exchanges, wallet providers, regulators and news sources. We are not responsible for their content, availability, security or practices, and a link is not an endorsement. Read the terms and privacy policy of any third-party service before you use it.
7. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the content on the site, including articles, graphics, logos, the site design and code, belongs to BitcoinInsights or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You may read the site, share links to it, and quote short extracts for commentary, criticism or news reporting, as long as you credit BitcoinInsights and link to the original article. You may not republish full articles, copy the site’s data feeds or tools, or use our content or brand for commercial purposes without our written permission. Automated scraping of the site in a way that places an unreasonable load on our servers is not permitted.
8. Comments and submissions
If you post a comment or send us an article pitch or submission, you confirm that the content is your own work, is accurate to the best of your knowledge, and does not break any law or infringe anyone else’s rights. You keep ownership of what you send us. By posting or submitting it, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish, edit for length and clarity, and display it on the site and our related channels.
We may refuse, edit or remove any comment or submission at our discretion, including content that is spam, promotional, abusive, misleading or off-topic. Comments must not promote investment schemes, presales or guaranteed returns. The publication rules for submitted articles are set out on our submissions page.
9. Acceptable use
When you use the site, you agree not to:
- break any applicable law or regulation
- try to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers or its data
- introduce malware or interfere with the site’s normal operation
- pretend to be BitcoinInsights, one of our writers or another person
- use the site to send spam or to promote scams
10. Limitation of liability
We provide the site “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we do not give any warranty that the site will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or your reliance on its content, data or tools. This includes trading or investment losses, loss of profits and loss of data. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
11. Changes to the site and to these terms
We may update, change or remove any part of the site at any time. We may also update these terms. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, and the courts of the United States have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If you are a consumer living in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence and may bring a claim in its courts.
13. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to contact@bitcoininsights.io or through our contact page. How we handle personal data is explained in our privacy policy and cookie policy.
