WRITE FOR BITCOININSIGHTS
Pitch BitcoinInsights a story
We’re looking for sharp, timely pitches on Bitcoin, markets, DeFi, regulation, security, and the builders shaping crypto. Bring us original reporting, clear analysis, or a strong point of view backed by data and credible sources.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
01
A strong, timely angle
Lead with the headline-level idea and why it matters now. Tell us the key question you’ll answer, the thesis you’ll defend, and what’s new (a development, dataset, on-chain trend, filing, or market shift). If it’s been covered, explain how your story advances the conversation.
02
Evidence, sources, and transparency
Show your work. Link to primary sources (docs, charts, transactions, commits), name the people you plan to interview, and note any access you already have. Disclose holdings, affiliations, sponsorships, or conflicts up front so we can assign and edit responsibly.
03
A clear outline and realistic scope
Include a short structure (nut graf, sections, and takeaways) plus an estimated word count. Most features land around 1,000–2,000 words; analysis and explainers can run longer when warranted. We value tight writing, defined claims, and actionable context over long roundups.
GOOD TO KNOW
We aim to respond within 5–7 business days. If you have a time-sensitive peg (earnings, CPI, ETF news, major protocol events), flag the deadline in your pitch and we’ll do our best to prioritize it.
Payment is agreed before assignment and paid on publication. Rates vary by format and reporting load (news, analysis, feature), and we’ll confirm terms in writing once a pitch is accepted.
Submissions FAQ
We aim to respond to most pitches within 3–5 business days. During major market moves or big industry news, response times can run longer while we prioritize breaking coverage. If your pitch is time-sensitive (e.g., embargoed research, a scheduled protocol launch, or a regulation deadline), note the date clearly and include your best availability for quick follow-ups.
We prefer a pitch first so we can confirm fit, scope, and timing before you invest the work. Share a working headline, 3–5 bullet points on the core argument, key sources or data you’ll use, and why the story matters now. For what we cover and how to send a pitch, see our Submissions guidelines.
We’re most excited by timely, evidence-backed stories with a clear angle—market structure, Bitcoin and L2 ecosystems, DeFi mechanics, security incidents, regulation, and on-chain data that supports a real insight. We’re less likely to accept pure price predictions, thinly sourced “project launches,” or promotional write-ups. If you have domain expertise, tell us what you can uniquely explain to readers.
Compensation depends on the assignment type, complexity, and expected reporting time. If we move forward, we’ll confirm rate, word count range, and deadline in writing before you start. Including links to 2–3 relevant samples (published or not) helps us assess fit and turnaround time quickly.
